Today’s childrens’ schools serve sauerkraut/ coleslaw for lunch. This choice was either unavailable or the schools did not want to serve foods that contained certain ingredients. Now, these same schools have a menu of various foods that have made significant changes in order to appeal to the school lunch program’s tastes, and still provide a healthy diet. For example, the school lunch program served an Indian food in the cafeteria today, which used to be prided for including only butter, cream and salt and now, there is no butter, just onions and carrots. This is because the taste of onions and carrots is superior to the taste of butter. To say the least of this new improvement, the schools have served pizza, noodles, Chinese food, and numerous sandwiches, using meat, and vegetables in them.


The question that arises now, is that the children that the schools serve food to are Experts in their fields, and if they know that the school provides a diet that has milk and cookies for lunch, they might venture into thosering tomatoseat the schools, and most likely they will be infected with all sorts of diseases, and the schools will lose money. All in all, is feeding our children with such nutrient deficient diets are assisting rather than preventing our children from reaching their full potential.
